We use a .DOP file for configuration of the export.
But if you only need to set this one option, Paul's sollution might be more practical.

How do I get a complete BOM out of Creo
Can anyone explain how to get a complete bom out of Creo into Excel (or similar) please?
This is a very simple task for Solidedge or Solidworks but seems to be missing from Creo.
My problem is in two parts:
1. How do I display a complete BOM table showing everything including all sub assemblies and parts, we have tried every option we can think of but some sub assemblies won't show up.
2. How do I get the BOM from creo to excel. Saving as CSV doesn't work because it only exposrts the first 665 lines of the BOM and the BOM is over 4000 long.

Re: PTC Creo 3.0 Now Available!
Security on your computer is preventing the install program communicating with the PTC servers. PTC normally has a web form where you enter your Host ID (MAC address) and product code. Once submitted, you get an email back with your license attached.
You need to ask for the web form address for your cersion/type of license.

You would need to do two thing to make this happened; one create your own custom hole table for the hole parameters and two, use family tables for the optional holes.
I say this because holes are a feature built on core Creo capabilities and a lot happens that you cannot access other than with hole tables. Also, changing hole type (different table entries) deletes and replaces the the hole in question. In a family table, you can toggle one or the other, but you cannot replace them.
Having said that, you could go back to the old behavior and just make a hole and a cosmetic thread. You can change the values of these at will (or even a revolve or extrude cut). With these more rudimentary features, you can use the relations to drive if statements.

I am unable to add custom actions in Product Structure Explorer (Windchill 10.2). I do not see any error in Method Server as well.
I could not find this information in PTC Customization document.

Detail views, outlines no spline.
It isi possible create a detail view in which the bonudary is not a spline but a geometric shape (circle, rectangle). Important, i speak the detail view ed not the principal view.

Help needed to Import Bundle Length in the form of parametric notes in drawing
I had been facing situations to give the bundle lengths adjacent to each bundle for the harness manufacturing drawing. I could able to derive the details like designation of an attached connector, Name of an attached cable as parametric leader notes like following examples,
&REF_DES:att_conn
&NAME:att_cbl
Etc……
But I am trying very hard to find a way to arrive a parametric note for the respective bundle length separately. I am very well aware that it is possible through repeat region.
But this requirement would make easy for the manufacturer to refer the notes placing right near the bundles in the drawing views.
Kindly help me out to find a solution.

Your model accuracy?
Hello,
l have a long time problem with model accuracy. l understand it´s different from company to company.
Company no. 1 is specialist about fine optic lens with high accuracy.
Company no. 2 is specialist about rought machining with lower model accuracy.
Our company produce a air-ducts. It means 5000 mm long duct, DIA 1500 mm with 2 mm wall thickeness ---> it´s a big difference between lenght and thickeness.
Rules that l have to keep:
- all models have same model accuracy
My information about accuracy:
- absolute is better than relative
- set absolute = 0,002 looks fine?
Questions:
- do you have any expierences with model accuracy?
- could you share your "standard" model accuracy?

I could help myself in the meanwhile...
Hereafter a summary, just in case.
- permissions have to be defined at right context level : inside a organisation, regarding the right team
- promotion requests initialisation rules have to be dupicated at the organisation level also.
(maybe not mandatory, but it helps)
They should be actyivated and have to point to a writable default folder.
- remain relevant regarding groups, context, teams, etc...

Creo Simulate License problem
Hi, i am a company user of Creo2.0 with floating license. I am trying to configure the Creo Simulate with reconfigure.exe which in folder C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\Simulate\bin, but in "Licenses"tab all the fields are not editable, I can't fill in anything into theses fields. A screenshot of this is shown below. Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue? Thanks.
